Lindisfarne College of Theology is the Church of England’s non-residential theological college in the North East of England. It is a vibrant, diverse and earthy Christian community of formation, true to our region. We train ordinands, lay ministers and independent students for a wide range of roles in the Church, classic and pioneering.

We are looking for a Director of Contextual Learning who will relish this inheritance and enable our students to develop their ministerial skills and the discipline of theological reflection.

The DCL will be a person of deep faith, pastorally sensitive and robust, able to think, teach and write at both a high and an accessible academic level, comfortable with the breadth of Anglican traditions, supportive of Lindisfarne’s inclusive ethos, in licensed Anglican ministry, and above all passionate about seeing the Church flourish in the varied contexts of the North East.

The post is f/t, on Lichfield scale with a housing allowance. Teaching is in centres in both Newcastle and Durham. The successful candidate will be licensed to the dioceses of Durham and Newcastle.
