College Principal

St Stephen’s House, Oxford, seeks to appoint a Principal to take up post on 1 September 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter.

The Principal holds responsibility for the internal oversight and external representation of this Anglican theological college, and is tasked with enabling it to deliver theological formation, training and education which are firmly rooted in the Catholic tradition of the Church of England for a wide range of participants.

Housing, stipend and allowances are provided in accordance with the Lichfield Scale.

The Principal will offer sacramental ministry to the staff and students as a core part of the role and due to the nature and context of this work the post is subject to an occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 that the post-holder is an ordained priest in the Church of England or a Church in Communion with it.
