REF: COR22 – Christian Mission Coordinator
37.5 hours per week | part-time may be considered | £28,000 pro-rota, per annum | 3-year Pilot Scheme | Black Country Wide
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and committed individual
to provide Christian leadership in communicating the Christian
faith-based ethos and motivation of our organisation. You will help our customers, staff, volunteers and stakeholders (of all faiths and none)
understand, respect and ‘live-out’ our Christian ethos and values. You will demonstrate good Biblical understanding and commitment to
ecumenical Christian social action.
You will support staff to implement the Christian Ethos of the Strategic Plan across the YMCA Group, demonstrating good communication and leadership skills.
You will have the ability to influence and foster good relationships with a diverse range of churches, agencies and professionals. The role includes developing voluntary Chaplains in partnership with the local churches, coordinating missional events and activities and contributing to the
development of policies, systems and operational practices. Experience of Church leadership and pastoral support is essential.
Ideally you would have undertaken and led Alpha courses or similar basic Christian introduction courses and obtained an Applied Theology qualification.
