Contract:

Permanent

Location:

South

Recruiter:

Ref: JN008222

Job Description

A unique opportunity to exercise a significant ministry in a collaborative and mutually supportive team, working across the historic town of Cirencester – the ‘Capital of the Cotswolds’.

With three churches within the town, including the ancient parish church of St John Baptist which lies at Cirencester’s heart, the Parish is served by an enthusiastic team of clergy and lay leaders. As a senior member of the team, the Associate Vicar will have day to day responsibility for the pastoral care of the worshipping communities of Holy Trinity Watermoor and St Lawrence Chesterton, but will also work collegially with the Vicar in the mission and ministry of the whole parish.

With the confidence to draw people together from different backgrounds and traditions and unite them in imaginative worship and mission, you will have the ability to help, in collaboration with others, to realise the very significant potential of this strategic parish.

Cirencester is a rapidly growing market town, home to several excellent schools and the Royal Agricultural University, with first class amenities and surrounded by beautiful countryside.

For an informal discussion about the role contact the Vicar of Cirencester, Canon Graham Morris on 07871 571147, or the Archdeacon of
Cheltenham, the Ven Phil Andrew on 01452 835594 or 07498 052045.
