The Diocese of Sheffield is called to grow a diverse network of Christ-like, lively and sustainable Christian communities in every place, which are effective in making disciples and in seeking to transform our society and God’s world
Mission and Transition Enabler
Do you feel called to re-imagine and build a thriving church? Can you lead people through a period of change?
These are exciting times calling for creative roles, and we are seeking and praying for two people to help us transition to our new model of oversight ministry. Initially these transformational roles will lead and support the formation of our first newly formed Mission Areas across an archdeaconry to grow into the oversight model of ministry. Associate Archdeacons will work with flexibility, ingenuity and imagination to grow teams of lay and ordained leaders in shaping a mission-focused church fit for the challenges of the 21st Century. We are keen to receive applications from candidates of all church traditions, including women and people of BAME heritage who are currently underrepresented in our diocese.
This is a 5-year post funded by the Church Commissioners
