Salary: £32,548 – £38,833 per annum, pro rata
The University Chaplaincy supports the experience of students, staff and others, enhancing University life, through the provision of meaningful and beautiful worship, sensitive pastoral care, ecumenical and interfaith encounter, and support for international students.
The Assistant Chaplain, working 18.25 hours per week, and reporting to the Chaplain, will offer significant contributions to worship and pastoral care, and involvement in the range of Chaplaincy commitments to student and staff experience.
The successful candidate, a University graduate, will have experience in pastoral care, including of people with mental health problems and/or who are bereaved, will be an effective and supportive listener, maintaining appropriate confidentiality. Committed to ecumenical and interfaith engagement, the successful candidate will have experience in preaching and conducting worship.
