Job Description

Contract: 3 Years

Assistant Chaplain (part-time 50%)

The Chaplain at St Andrew’s, Zurich, is looking for a part-time assistant to have some fun in Switzerland and to help minister in Zurich, particularly to families and young people (and three smaller daughter congregations, with monthly services). The appointment is for three years.

  • The congregation includes members from many countries and all continents
  • Experience of creative ministry among children is vital to this role
  • The diversity of the congregation is enriching
  • Living abroad is not always easy and results in very different pastoral situations, which requires good pastoral experience

We are building a relational church from a ‘commuter’ congregation and are looking for a priest who is at home with both old and young, has experience of diversity and the intricacies of involving all ages in worship.

There is no need for any superpowers, simply an understanding of one’s own humanity.

Accommodation will be provided, utilities included.
