We are seeking to appoint an imaginative & confident leader who will have a central role in encouraging both lay and ordained ministry across our diocese.
You will help us to realise our vision of a church where sustainable parishes thrive as disciples grow & develop.
You will be responsible for leading the Mission and Ministry Team into the next phase of our Diocesan Transformation Programme, further developing and implementing our priority to equip our ministers for mission.
You will:
- Enjoy developing strategy as well as being a hands-on team member.
- Be an inspiring presenter and an organised leader.
- Have leadership experience in a church or charitable organisation and have enjoyed leading and managing others in a changing environment.
There is a genuine occupational requirement that the appointee must be a communicant member of the Church of England or of a church in full communion with it, and eligible to hold the Bishop’s authorisation to preach and to lead public worship.
Salary: £58,000 per annum plus a generous pension
Hours: 35 per week (Mon – Fri) with some evening and weekend work
Location: Central Worcester with some home working
